Why is the cost of shipping so high?
The cost of our shipping depends on a few factors. We use insulated boxes to ship the meat, as well ice packs to keep the product cold until it gets to your door. Depending where you are located, the shipping costs can go up in order to make sure we keep the product cold in the box for as long as it takes to arrive. Since we are sending relatively expensive perishable items to you, we need to insure each package just in case it gets delayed or lost in transit. Certain items are large in scale (i.e. marrow bones, roasts, etc.), and depending on how much you order, your shipment may require multiple boxes. If your shipment requires multiple boxes this may result in an extra charge being added to your order. Any orders that weigh 25 pounds or more, not including the weight of the ice, may be subject to a "Heavy Order" charge of up to $25. This charge comes from UPS and will be applied at our discretion.
Why can't I choose the Fillmore location for pick up?
Unfortunately, we do not have the facilities required to handle online sales at the Fillmore location. For ease of business all online sales including shipping, home delivery, and in store pick-ups will be handled from Town Center. Thank you for your understanding!
Missed Delivery
If no one is home to accept the delivery it will be brought back to the Ranch Foods Direct on Town Center Drive. It will remain in the store for pickup for 2 days. If it is not picked up in that time the order will be cancelled. If you need to make arrangements for your order please call us at (719)473-2306.
Is your food organic?
Our meat is all natural, humanely raised, with no performance enhancing drugs, and no animal byproducts.
